💼 Career Snapshot - Built for This Role

🌍

🌐 Google Street View - Operations Lead · Community Manager · Team Coach

December 2019 - July 2025 · 5.5 years

EMEA-wide field operations - managing partners, building market presence, coordinating across 20+ countries with no existing playbook

What I actually did - in business development language:

  • 🤝 New market entry: Deployed operations in markets with no prior presence. Identified local partners (Labour Providers, Dealerships), built relationships from cold, onboarded them into the operational framework.
  • 📋 Partner lifecycle management: Managed the full relationship with external partners - from qualification and onboarding to day-to-day coordination, performance monitoring, and contract-level accountability.
  • 🗣️ Multilingual outreach and engagement: Conducted partner calls, briefings and negotiations in Spanish, Portuguese and English across EMEA - removing language as a barrier to market access.
  • 📊 Pipeline and progress tracking: Maintained structured visibility over active partner relationships, open issues and deliverables using internal tools - functionally equivalent to CRM pipeline management.
  • 👥 Community Manager role: Designed induction communications, coached new joiners, and built consistency across a highly distributed, multicultural partner network.
  • 🔄 Continual improvement mindset: After every operational cycle, identified gaps, proposed process changes, and fed improvements back into the system. Exactly the post-event evaluation loop SRT Fairs requires.

On building from zero: The SRT Fairs Business Development role is a new position - the first of its kind in the team. This is exactly the kind of challenge I am drawn to. At Google, I was repeatedly deployed into markets with no existing operational framework. At SigaSiga (my current entrepreneurial project), I am building a cross-border partnership network from scratch. Creating structure where none exists, finding the right partners, and making the first relationships stick - that is what I do.

🤝 Why SRT Fairs - Why This Role - Why Now

icon

SRT Fairs has spent 16 years building something genuinely rare: a trusted, human-centered platform connecting students, universities, and educators across the world. The ConnectED portfolio and the flagship in-person fairs are not generic events - they are carefully curated spaces where meaningful decisions get made.

The Business Development Specialist role is the next chapter of that story: opening the platform to non-traditional partners who add value to the student experience without diluting the brand. Accommodation providers. Summer schools. Language programs. Youth travel. Student insurance. These are categories I understand intimately - from the education side as a former university lecturer, from the partnership side as someone who has managed external providers at scale across EMEA.

The Spanish + English requirement is not a checkbox for me. I lived in Argentina for five years. I coordinated teams, managed partners, and handled real situations entirely in Spanish. That's not a language skill - it's an operational asset for the LATAM markets SRT Fairs wants to reach.

This role is new. The pipeline doesn't exist yet. The playbook hasn't been written. That is precisely why I am the right person for it.

🛫

Steady hands. Shared wins. New markets, new partners, new categories - let's build it together.
